Steiner Sign Group, LLC is the successor company to Universal Unlimited, Inc. of New York and Universal Sign Corp. of Florida.  For over 50 years we manufactured many of the most iconic signs in the US, both in Times Square and across the USA for many of the country’s leading retailers, financial institutions and street furniture franchisees.

Sign Manufacturing Techniques

We pioneered many techniques used in sign manufacturing including the silk screening of inks onto Lexan plastic sheeting as well as the use of computerized cutting and routing equipment for fabrication of exterior and interior signs. We ceased manufacturing product in 2000 and turned our attention to consulting in corporate identity and retail sign arena as well as street furniture franchise products including Bus Shelters, Informational Kiosks, APT’s (automatic public toilets) newsstands and other similar products.

We also have worked extensively in the shopping mall interior and exterior advertising display and directory business.  This involves designing and sourcing various types of displays which hold third party advertising display copy as well as maps showing the mall layout and store locations.
